Oh my....do we know what to do?!?
We're so used to pink, tutus, bows, and curls....are we ready for dirt, mud, ants, and frogs?!? I don't think we have a clue and yet we are SO EXCITED!!! I'm actually so much more excited than I even thought I would be! AG has been hoping it was a boy for a few weeks. I think she decided she wanted a brother when she realized she may have to share her toys with this new baby.
When the ultrasound tech told us it was a boy today Thomas, AG and I just smiled from ear to ear in excitement!! We are just so excited about this miracle God has given us! We found out we were pregnant the Monday before Christmas and we found out our child is a boy on the Monday before Easter!! God is so good! We know He has great plans for this child already!
The good news is that AG is ALL girl, but she also loves to play in the dirt, catch frogs, worms, grasshoppers, bugs, make mud pies, go camping with daddy, and play with the boys, so maybe she has prepared us a "little" for life with a boy! We are already praying for this precious little boy and can't wait to see what he looks like! Will he look like his older sister with blonde hair? Will it be curly?? Will he look more like me and have dark hair??? Only God knows and we soon will see!!
Thomas, AG, and I went out to dinner to celebrate and we were talking about our new son and how excited we were. In the middle of our conversation, reality started to hit AG and she said, "I really wanted a girl." Oh well....that's life. I think she is happy and will be happy when this new bundle of joy joins our family in August.
Psalm 127:3 - Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.
Psalm 139:13-16 - For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

First tooth
Anna Grace at 9 months old. You can see her first tooth on the bottom of her mouth.

Anna Grace tonight after losing her tooth. Her first baby tooth just came out!

We are so excited!! Anna Grace has had her first loose tooth for two weeks and tonight it came out while she was brushing her teeth!! She said she looked in the mirror and noticed her tooth was gone and said, "Daddy! My tooth!!" Thomas looked down and saw it in the sink about to go down the drain! He quickly picked it up and rinsed it off! She is so happy and excited about this momentous occasion! We are very excited for her too!
She wanted me to put her tooth in an envelope for the tooth fairy with a message on the envelope. I followed her instructions and we are ready for a visit from the tooth fairy!
If you look closely at the envelope, you can see her small tooth under her name.
