Friends

I had a wonderful weekend with two very special friends. My friends Laura and Lauren came to visit me this weekend. My friendship started with Lauren when we were five years old back in Dove Tree subdivision. I fell in love with her beautiful, long blonde hair and knew we would be friends! :) My friendship with Laura (or as I call her - "Lou") started when we were eighteen years old on the first day of sorority rush at Clemson. She lived on my hall in Lever and was in my rush group. Both of these girls have been through so much with me. I love them both dearly and consider my life richer with them in it.

They both arrived on Friday night. We enjoyed catching up, laughing, playing wii, singing our hearts out on American Idol, laughing, eating, just relaxing and being ourselves. It is always fun to spend time with people who know you better than you know yourself. It reminds me of who I am. For a moment, I am not a mom, I am not a wife, I am just me.

I enjoyed my time with you so much, Laura and Lauren.
I hope you both will be back again very soon!

Happy Valentines Day!!

We have had a wonderful Valentines week this year.

Anna Grace started out the week with a Valentine party at Hazel's house.
All of the children enjoyed making Valentine mailboxes to put their Valentine cards in.

Anna Grace decorates her mailbox.

Hazel, Caitlyn and AG decorate their mailboxes.

Sierra and Madeline decorate their mailboxes.

AG hits the pinata. Should someone tell AG to use the other end of the bat?? My child is not the athlete!

The girls wait their turns to hit the pinata.

Madeline broke it!! Time to eat the candy!

AG also celebrated with a Valentine party at school!

More cards and candy!

And the best part of Valentines day?!? A date with daddy!

We bought AG a special dress and shoes for this special night. She wanted to wear her hair in a bun. She told me she felt like a princess. I told her she was Daddy's little princess and God's little princess.

Cheese!

AG loves her daddy! I love special moments like these. This is the third Father/Daughter dance that AG has been to. She looks forward to each one with such anticipation. She adores her daddy and loves their time together. I love that they have this special night together too!

One more picture and then off to the dance!

Snowed Again!!

Twice in the same year?? In Florence, SC?!?
Yes!! It snowed twice this year!!!

We were in shock when we woke up last Wednesday morning to a blanket of WHITE on the ground!!! Anna Grace and I enjoyed playing in the snow again!! It was fun, but freezing!!

Snow!!

Making another snow angel...and getting quite good!

Time to go inside. AG said her fingers were freezing!

A warm glass of hot chocolate to warm us up!

Skating!!

Anna Grace went to a friend's skating birthday party. It was her first time on roller skates and she did very well. Thomas and I enjoyed being there with her at the skating rink. It brought back a lot of memories for us - "Thriller", "Beat It", "Ghostbusters", racing games, hokey pokey, red light/green light, the train, skating backwards, running into the wall to stop yourself...oh the skating rink memories!! We had a great time!

Anna Grace skating with friends

Anna Grace felt the best way to skate was to put one foot in front and drag the other foot!

Time for cake and ice cream!! Happy Birthday Bella!
