What a sweet, sweet season we are in.....we have two weeks to go until we have a new member of our family....
We can't believe we are about to lay eyes on this precious miracle. We are so excited and so nervous at the same time. Nine months has seemed like so long to wait, but at the same time it has flown by so fast! We are experiencing so many emotions. We are praying for a smooth and easy delivery, pain-free (is that possible?!? If so, I'll gladly take it!), with no complications, no problems, and a healthy, happy baby and a healthy, happy mom!
People have been asking us if we are ready for this change...it has been six years since we went through this, so of course we aren't ready at all! But, we are ready to delight in what the Lord gives us and enjoy every minute of it!
In preparation for this big event...a few events preceeded it. My sister had her baby one week ago today. Sweet baby girl Lalla Sage Andrews entered the world last Tuesday.
She is beautiful and we can't wait to meet her SOON!! Sage and her family moved into their new three bedroom apartment this weekend. With the gracious help of friends and family, they are moved and settled in three days! Praise God!! Sage is getting adjusted and celebrating her 32nd birthday today!

Anna Grace started her first day of FIRST grade yesterday!! I still can't believe my "baby" is 6 years old and is in first grade!! I must admit, it was MUCH easier dropping her off this year than it was last year. I am so glad this was her second year at Delmae. Her teacher is Ms. Dove and this is Ms. Dove's first year teaching. We have heard many wonderful things about her, so we are very excited about the year and hope it will be a good one! AG knows a few kids in the class from school last year, so that makes us happy too. She came home happy and said her first day was great. She is looking forward to "show and tell" every Friday! She was ready to go back today too, which was a blessing, because she has been BEGGING me to homeschool her ALL summer long. I think a lot of it is the new baby coming and AG realizing the baby will be home with me, so she wants to be home with me too. Also, she doesn't want summer to be over, so she thinks homeschool will be like the summer...laying around in her pjs, eating breakfast while watching tv, playing...maybe squeezing in some work here and there. I quickly informed her that homeschool would not be like that at all. She would be learning each day and not playing, it would not be like summer and she would miss her friends. I told her with so much going on, this is not the year for mommy to homeschool her and I also told her that I don't even have books and material to teach her. She responded, "You don't need that, mommy, just teach me what you know!"

With everything going on right now in this sweet season of our lives, I'm reminded of this scripture.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Thank you, Father, that there is a time for everything and a purpose for everything under Heaven. Thank you for life. Thank you for giving us glimpses of Heaven and YOU through the eyes of a new born child. Thank you for giving us a longing for something that is so much greater than what we see on this Earth. Thank you that this Earth is not our home. Thank you that there is something more beautiful and perfect than what we can see today. Thank you for the storms you take us through, for holding us through the rain, and for the beauty the cames afterwards. Thank you for this time on Earth that brings us closer to you, our creator.
Life moves so fast, yet there is still a time for everything. God has such a perfect plan for each one of us. I am so thankful for the hard times in our lives because they make these special times in our lives that much sweeter. I am so thankful for the past four years of infertility that have brought me to the place I am in now....a time of celebrating and praise...for such a time as this...
